CERTIFICATION

To qualify for Certification, a Mercedes-Benz vehicle must meet stringent criteria and pass a rigorous 130+ point inspection in the following areas:.

• Post Road Test
  After the test drive, Mercedes checks for leaks, verifies the proper fluid levels, and completes the inspection of the climate control begun during road testing.


• Fluids
  Engine oil, coolant, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, washer fluid, etc. If it flows, Mercedes will follow it, check the level and make sure it's clean.


• Electrical Systems
  Everything on the vehicle that takes a charge, from the headlamps, fuses and radio to the heated seats, front seat-belt presenters and rear-window sunshade (if applicable), gets checked and approved.


• Engine Test
  The vehicle's powerplant check-up begins at the intake and ends at the exhaust, covering everything from belts and plugs to the ignition and emissions systems to compression testing.


• Undercarriage and Drivetrain
  Mercedes gets right underneath the vehicle to scrutenize the steering, suspension, brakes, wheels, tires and driveshafts.


• Safety
  All the systems including the seat belts, the alarm (if applicable) and the body structure.


• Appearance
  A Mercedes Certified vehicle is as free of dings, dents, rips, scratches, and scuffs as we can make it, with high quality fit and finish inside and out.


• Road Test
  Every Mercedes Certified vehicle undergoes an on-the-road assessment of the performance and 'feel' of it's engine, transmission, steering, ride, handling and braking, as well as testing of it's instruments and control systems.



WARRANTY
The Mercedes Pre Owned Warranty and Mercedes Extended Limited Warranty plans were designed to give you all the peace of mind you'd expect from a Mercedes-Benz.

Limited Warranty
With every Certified Pre Owned Mercedes-Benz comes peace of mind, because every Mercedes vehicle is backed by one of the most comprehensive pre-owned vehicle limited warranties available.

For starters, any remaining portion of the Mercedes-Benz 4-year/50,000-mile* New Vehicle Limited Warranty applies to a Mercedes Certified vehicle. After that, the Mercedes Certified Limited Warranty provides comprehensive vehicle coverage for another 12 months, or up to 100,000 total accrued miles*. For those Mercedes Certified vehicles that are no longer covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, the Mercedes Certified Limited Warranty takes effect right away.

This coverage extends to the engine and powertrain, steering, suspension, brakes (excluding wear of discs and pads), electrical system, climate control system, and more **.
